Visiting national parks

We like to hike, therefore we plan to visit as many different national parks as possible. Since each park has different entrance fees, we went looking for an alternative. The national park foundation offers a National Parks Pass. This entitles the card holder and the spouse (or anyone in a spousal relationship, whatever that may mean) access to all national parks in the US. Additional costs, such as camping and backcountry permits are not included. The card is valid for one year and costs 50 dollars. More information can be found on the following website.

The Canadians also offer a national parks of canada pass for 55 canadian dollars per person. If we feel like visiting more than just national parks, we could opt for the discovery card for 69 dollars that also offers access to the 77 National Historic Sites of Canada.
